fridge-jenga getting harder? here's how to organize!

You ever see those Home Depot ads with the cool music and the mom with an insanely clean fridge? (does she not buy food or something??) Well, my fridge is not that, but it sure is closer after I completed a few steps. Here's a small guide that I completed in about an hour and I trust you can too! The fridge doesn't have to be hard to close anymore! Now I can fit my groceries anywhere ;)

Step 1: Prepare

  • Remove all items from your fridge and place them to the side.

  • Remove any sheets of glass and drawers if you want!

Step 2: Clean the Interior

  • Get some soap and water and wipe down the shelves and walls.

  • Vacuum the drawers for any crumbs and wipe the excess out.

  • For stubborn stains, sprinkle baking soda on a damp cloth and scrub gently, OR I used Dawn Powerwash and let it set for about 2 minutes and wipe!

Step 3: Clean the Exterior

  • Wipe down the exterior of the fridge with a microfiber cloth and fridge cleaner.

Step 4: Reassemble and Restock

  • Once the interior and exterior are clean and dry, reassemble any shelves, drawers, and other parts you had to take out.

  • Restock your fridge, organizing items neatly to make them easy to find, here's what I did:

    • Top shelf: Milks and juices.

    • Next shelf: Eggs and grains.

    • Drawer 1: Cheese and deli meats.

    • Drawer 2: Veggies and roots.

    • Drawer 3: Fruits.

  • Condiments orgnaization:

    • Asain-style sauces: soy sauce, hoisin, oyster sauce, dumpling dip...

    • BBQ/American: A1, Open Pit, ketchup, mustard...

That's it! I did my fridge in about an hour and I would love to help you do yours. Our Spring Clean Choose 5 allows you to choose Fridge organization (averaging $25) OR, you could include a fridge clean in your Spring Clean Quote from us. Let us take this off your plate, but if you like to clean yourself, I hope this guide helps!
